Follow the instructions below to create and maintain your NYLCA membership profile.
Register and create a new profile
Scroll to the "Providers" section of the nzlca.org main webpage. Select the "NEW MEMBER REGISTRATION" button.
Review the benefits associated with NYLCA membership.
When ready, click "REGISTER NOW" button.
Review the terms of agreement and "CONTINUE".
Enter your email address and create a secure password. You will use this email address and password to login to your profile, in the future, to make updates to your profile.
COMPLETE REGISTRATION FORM
Complete the profile form with your contact information. biography, and professional information. (NOTE: The address in the contact section is not shared publicly, by default. It is used by NYLCA administrators to contact you. To share your work address, complete the "List Home Visits / Office" section, described later.)
SAVE FORM AND PROFILE INFO
After you complete the profile form, in the "Services Offered" section, indicate which services you intend to list. Depending on your type of membership, you will be provided a button in your profile to add details to your listed services, classes, and groups.
Click "SAVE PROFILE"
When you're logged into your profile, you will have the option to upload a photo (JPG format only), list details about your home visits and publicly list your work address for office visits. Also, you can check your membership status. If your membership is expired or about to lapse, you can make a payment online, securely, using the "PAY DUES" button.
LIST HOME / OFFICE VISITS
If you offer home visits, enter the boroughs or regions that you offer your services. Your profile will appear in the search results for those locations when searched by parents.
If parents are able to visit your office, enter your primary office location here.
BREASTFEEDING GROUPS AND PRENATAL CLASSES
Complete the information in this section to add a group or class to your profile. You can add additional groups to your profile when done. Your breastfeeding group will automatically be classified based on your responses to the questions in the form.
YOUR PUBLIC PROFILE VIEW
You can review how your profile looks to parents by logging out using the "LOG OUT" button and finding a link to your profile in the Service Search area for parents on the NYLCA website.
